I Finland har vi haft problem med blufflärare. Lärare som inte har haft lärarkompetens och fått sin tjänst med förfalskade papper. Men inte så i Sydkorea. Där har man riktiga lärare, dvs. robotar. Robotarna undervisar engelska och styrs av riktiga lärare från Filippinerna. Inget bluffande här, både robotarna och lärarna är äkta!
Några av fördelarna med de 29 Engkey, robotarna utvecklade av Korea Institute of Science of Technology (KIST) är:
- lärarna i Filippinerna är billigare än lärare från andra länder, inklusive lärare från sydkorea
- robotarna är sötare än riktiga lärare enligt barnen
- barn och vuxna är inte lika blyga att prata med en robot som med en människa av kött och blod
- robotarna protesterar inte fast man sänder dem till avlägsna byar
- robotar i klassen får eleverna att delta aktivare i undervisningen
- och inte minst, de klagar inte på sjukförsäkringar, sjukskriver sig inte och säger inte upp sig så fort de hittar ett arbete med bättre lön.
